30 Days of Gratitude
“The miracle of gratitude is that it shifts your perception to such an extent that it changes the world you see.”
Dr. Robert Holden
30 Days of Gratitude is a free download with daily prompts that will help you pause and take a moment to open your heart to the power of gratitude.
We can get wrapped up in the grind of everyday life and easily start to take things for granted. Sure, we have all learned to say thank you and our reminded from time to time to be thankful, but practicing gratitude on the daily isn’t something that just happens. You have to take the time to make it happen.
Robert A. Emmons, leading gratitude researcher, has conducted multiple studies on the link between gratitude and well-being. His research confirms gratitude increases happiness and reduces depression. Research continues to reveal that gratitude can help us be happier and healthier. It is said that gratitude can enhance our:
- physical well-being
- our life as a whole
And it can help reduce frustration, worry, fear, and resentment. Those negative feelings have a hard time staying present when we focus on gratitude. Gratitude can crowd out those feelings that can weigh heavily on us. It is hard for them to live inside us with gratitude there.
Reflecting on gratitude cost nothing, takes minutes and the benefits are enormous.
We all have days where we just aren’t feeling our best. Those days when we just want to crawl back in bed and pull the covers over our heads, when we are moody and aren’t exactly sure why. It’s not fun. People don’t want to be around us when we are in a “bad mood” and often we aren’t sure how to get out of the so called “bad mood”. One simple tool to help you move through those moody days is taking a pause and finding gratitude in the moment. Your energy starts to shift and the more you practice gratitude the better you feel.
Years ago, I started practicing gratitude with a journal and a pen, writing down what I was grateful for each day. This works well, however, you can easily go into autopilot and say the same thing every day.
That’s why I created the 30 Days of Gratitude to give you prompts to help you think outside of the box when it comes to what you are grateful for in your life and you aren’t focusing on the same thing every time you think about what your are grateful for. Don’t get me wrong those are still wonderful things to be grateful for, however gratitude can go so much deeper and further into your life. The goal is after 30 days of gratitude prompts you will more naturally have gratitude for all areas of your life – the past, the present and your future, as well as, the big and little things in life. You will start to experience how gratitude truly can reduce your stress level, change bad moods to good and increase your overall happiness. Living a life in gratitude is a game changer. Give it a try.
