What makes you different than other health coaches or counselors?
While I believe many health coaches can help support individuals on living a healthier life I feel that I have a unique style in connecting with my intuition before, during and after our sessions to guide me on supporting you. In addition, I want us to have fun and enjoy our sessions while you reconnect with who you are at this point in your life. While many topics can be very serious, it is important to me for you to enjoy the journey. I also am known to ask that one extra question that might have you dig a little deeper as you get connected with what you want your life to be like. We are talking about your life and that is important stuff so the fluff goes to the side and we get real. So if you want to get real then I just might be the right holistic health coach for you!
What kind of results will I experience?
This is a tough question because everyone has different health and wellness goals and they are very individual. I will tell you that my clients have experienced many of the following things as we worked together: they have been empowered in more ways than one, explored new foods, became interested in working out and moving their body more, have more confidence, tried foods they have never heard of, began cooking more, lost a few pounds, mended relationships or ended toxic ones, gave gratitude, forgave themselves or someone else, faced their fears, got more balance in their life, released past guilt, overcame their feeling of low self-worth, let go of the negative and embraced the positive, got clarity on their career, found a new career, discovered new hobbies or connected to old hobbies, and most importantly got reconnected with who they are today so they can enjoy their life more. I love it all and I am honored to support my clients as they go through this journey. The results will vary based on each person and where they are at in life but one thing is for sure, you will connect with you.
What do you mean by Holistic Health Counselor or Coach?
The wellness approach that I use when working with you is considered holistic as we focus on all aspects of your life. I support you on areas that include your body, mind and spirit. All area of your life are interconnected so in order to reach your health and happiness goals and have them not just be for today but for a lifetime we focus on your relationships, career, physical activity, spirituality and food to name a few. We focus on the whole you not just a part of you.
What are your Wellness Tips with Carrie e-newsletter’s about?
I love writing my e-zine! It comes out the first Thursday of the month and it has nourishing tidbits of information to help you live a happier and healthier life. Each issue includes an article on supporting you in your life, a gratitude for food section where I share information on a type of food, a food concept or maybe even a restaurant; it always has an easy and delicious recipe and many subscriber’s favorite section is the meditation minute. I have gotten great feedback and often receive request of topics that my subscribers want to know more about. It is always full of great tips! You should subscribe – click here!
What is a session like when working with you?
Our sessions are typically 1 hour long. I always like to start with what is new and good going on in your life. The sessions are not structured the same for each client. It really depends on your personal goals that you have for yourself. I have a vast array of resources I rely on that will benefit you; however it is personalized depending on each client. So although I have some materials that I share with all clients I have a lot of materials and support tools that are not shared with every client. We are all different and need different things so it just depends on the goals you have for yourself. One session we may focus more on food and another session it could be brainstorming something regarding your career or we could touch on five different things in one session it really varies on each individual. I always like to end with a brief meditation passage that I pick randomly especially for you. You will have a written recap sent to you with your goals and recommendations as I will follow up with you to ensure you are moving forward one step at a time.
Are the phone consultations just as good as in person?
Actually yes! I have had great success with working with clients via the phone. With technology today using Skype can even be an option once in awhile. The phone also makes it extremely convenient for individuals that are very busy. You can have the session wherever you are and you save time by not having to drive to meet. The extra support tools are either e-mailed or mailed to you. So yes, phone sessions are just as beneficial as in person sessions.
What is the main difference between your Ultimate You and Radiant You package?
Both are fantastic packages. I designed the Ultimate You package for those that might like a little luxury along the way. It provides some special TLC with aromatherapy and massage therapy as well as additional support materials. In both packages I make recommendations for books as well as provide some gifts to support your goals. However, with the Ultimate You package a lot of that is taken care of and you receive most of the recommendations as part of your package. It is designed for you to be pampered a little along the way.
Why would I want 12 sessions versus 6 sessions?
The main reason I suggest 12 sessions is that it is more likely that you will be able to sustain your health and wellness goals on your own if you have additional support for a longer period of time in the beginning. I believe that 6 sessions can be of great benefit however 12 seem to work really well. My goal is to provide you continued support for a period of time so you can make changes and reach your health and happiness goals and then continue living the life you want. I want to give you all the support I can but don’t want you to get dependent on me so that you can’t continue you on your own. This is your life and your happiness so taking a little more time in some areas might be beneficial. However, some support is better than no support which is why I also offer 6 sessions and even focus sessions.
What is a focus session used for?
I have had individuals use a focus session to do a touch base on a particular topic. This is often related to career or a relationship but it is not limited to these topics. Focus sessions can be used to do a check in with a previous client or possibly you just need extra support in an area of your life. Focus sessions are typically very focused which is why I call it focus session.
Will you come to my place of business and give a talk?
Yes, as long as it is optional for your employees to attend. My past experience is when individuals are required to attend a workshop some often come with a negative attitude and really have no desire to be there. I am not about convincing people that they want to live happier and healthier lives, I am about supporting those that want that for themselves. So as long as it is an optional event for your staff then I am in but if it is something that is required for all employees then I am probably not the right person.
