I have gone back and forth with yoga over the years. Before I tried it, I thought that it couldn’t be that difficult. I was way wrong as it is a serious work out. As yoga has come in and out of my life over the years, there were times when I was completely dedicated to it and times I completely dropped it from my life. Last year it was time to bring it back into my life but there was one problem. I needed to find a class that would work with my schedule and I was having a hard time finding one.
I typically work out at home because it seems to work for my life but with yoga I always enjoyed going to a yoga studio. When I work out at home I have to switch things up so that I don’t get bored. I have different DVD’s I use and different workouts so that I keep it fresh and challenging. Over the years, I have tried some yoga DVD’s and even tried some with the on demand feature through our cable company. But, I never really found one that stuck for me. They were always just average and there were only so many times I could do the same one before I got bored.
The recent problem I had with yoga was not that I didn’t want to do it but it was finding a studio and a class that worked for me. Yoga classes tend to be an hour and a half or so and when you include travel time you are looking at 2-3 hours. That just didn’t work for me. I needed to get to yoga, take the class and be home within an hour to two. So I found a class that was an hour and 15 minutes and that was working for a while. The class I found that fit my schedule was great but it was only one day a week and I was ready to add more yoga each week. But I could not fit another class in at the studio I found close to home. Their schedule and my schedule just didn’t match up. I was getting frustrated!
I was ready for yoga to be a part of my life again and I couldn’t find a class that worked for my life. Ideally, I would love a 45 minute to an hour class but forget trying to find that at a yoga studio. I just could not find that anywhere. I was almost ready to give up when I found the perfect solution, thanks to a pin someone posted on pinterest. Somehow looking at one picture on pinterest lead me to another and that lead me to my solution to my yoga problem!
I found a way to do yoga at home, with a class and I have lots of different classes to choose from. In fact, the class length can be your typical hour and a half class or you can find one that is 30 minutes, 45 minutes, or even 60 minutes. The solution to my yoga problem is a website called Yogis Anonymous! You can stream live classes or watch a video of a previous class. There are all levels and the best part is you can choose the amount of time that works for you. I love it!! I feel like I am part of the class even though I am in my family room.
They have several different plans that you can purchase and they are very reasonable in price. You can get a months’ worth for about the price of one class at a yoga studio. It is an inexpensive way to do yoga at home and feel like you are part of a class. In fact, they were just listed as one of the top four online workout sites for 2012 by Self.com.
