Aha Number 5: Givers Get

I have heard the words many times before – give and you shall receive. So often people forget this concept. Think about giving a smile . . . the more you give the more you get back. It can be that simple. When I think about love . . . the more love I give the more I get in return. Giving sends a message out that life is truly abundant. The authors give a great visual for abundance . . . the ocean!  

I know this concept is not new, and it reinforces the Be in Aha number 2; but I think it is stated in a different way  to continue to reinforce the imporatnce of giving. Giving time, money, smiles, compliments – these are all things that will flow back to you when you give.

I think  a critical piece to this chapter, givers get, is that it should always be genuine and authentic. It doesn’t mean to give in order to get something in return. Being genuine in your giving whether a smile or a donation of money to your favorite charity is the most important personal aha that I took away this chapter – it is authentic giving.
