A Message from Carrie
My passion is to inspire and empower busy professionals who want to live a healthier, happier and more vibrant life and need a little extra support along the way. When I partner with you on your personal wellness journey, I become your personal wellness advocate. I support you one step at a time as you start to listen to your body, mind and spirit and treat yourself a little kinder in your everyday life. It is a transformational process as you begin to release old patterns, stories and beliefs that have held you back from living a life you love. You will begin to embrace who you are today and create the lifestyle that works for you at this point in your life. You will begin to see yourself in a new light that shines bright. I believe everyone deserves to know their brilliance and live a life they love and I want to support you on doing just that!
I practice a holistic approach to wellness, which means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected. Because I believe that all parts of our life affect the whole. I also believe that everyone’s wellness journey is different and what works for one might not work for another. We are each our own unique selves and I do my best to honor that uniqueness and help you explore what works best for you. I trust my inner guidance and rely upon my intuition to help guide me in my coaching and my everyday life.
- I get what it feels like to use food as a comfort or a way to stuff feelings. . . I have been there.
- I know how difficult it can be to practice self-care and put ourselves higher on our priority list because I have struggled with this for myself.
- I understand the ups and downs of parenthood as I have two strong and independent daughters.
- I get the juggling act of trying to balance work and family because I am in the throes of it on a daily basis.
- I understand the corporate world because I’ve been there.
- I also know the struggles of keeping your relationships with friends and family in a healthy place while still trying to honor you.
My experiences and the lessons I learn in my own life help me be a better coach to others and it is an honor to partner with people that are ready to let go of what is holding them back and start living a life they love.
I have often been called a lifestyle change expert and I support people on taking baby steps that ultimately improve their lifestyle in a big way. I love to write! I thoroughly enjoy writing wellness and lifestyle articles to share with others through my monthly newsletter and blog.
Several of my articles have been published on well-known websites such as, Ladies Home Journal.com, Self.com, and Shine from yahoo. I have had a lot of fun sharing my philosophy of “adding in” versus taking away and had an opportunity to do that on the Female Focus News Segment on WBNS Channel 10TV. In addition, I have been able to share my love of easy and healthy recipes on Good Day Columbus Fox28 news as well.
While I am beyond grateful for the opportunities to be published on well-known websites and featured on news segments, it is the transforming moments I spend with my clients and participants in my programs that overjoy me.
I graduated and received my Health Coaching certification through The Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York City. I am also certified through the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. Getting my certification was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I traveled to New York and took classes with some of the most well-renowned experts in health and wellness. A few of the experts I learned from were Deepak Chopra, world leader in the field of mind-body medicine; Dr. Andrew Weil MD, a Harvard Medical School graduate devoted to integrative medicine; Bernie Siegel MD, a recognized expert in the field of cancer treatment and complementary medicine; and Joshua Rosenthal, founder and primary teacher at Integrative Nutrition. I strive to continue my education and experiences with regards to health and wellness through additional classes and conferences that support my efforts on being the best Health and Lifestyle Coach I can be. I love to learn and I love to share what I learn with others.
I also have a BA in Business Administration with a focus in Communication from The Ohio University. I spent 8 years in corporate environments where my primary focus was in training and development. I left my corporate career to raise my two daughters and have realized that there is nothing on earth more rewarding and challenging at the same time than being a parent. When I decided to combine my joy of teaching, inspiring and motivating others with my interest in health and wellness I discovered one of my callings in life, being a Health and Lifestyle Coach . . . the other is being a mom.
I love traveling and trying new adventures whether it is a new restaurant, going hiking, skiing or snorkeling. I enjoy cooking easy, healthy and delicious recipes, but I don’t hesitate to hand over the more difficult healthy recipes to my husband who has a more gourmet cooking ability. I love to photograph nature and be outdoors. I am also a big supporter for better environmental and organic food efforts for our world.
I am so grateful that I get to do the work that I do and connect with people ready to make changes in their life so they are feeling healthier and happier. I love it!
Thank you for taking time to get to know me a little better. I hope after reading this you get a good sense of what I am all about and I encourage you to connect with me if you feel so inspired to do so as I would love to help support you on living a life you love. Have a fantastic rest of your day!
